We're talking to you about his Winery
Denavolo's white maceration wines are the choice of wine lovers and neophytes alike. The best way to discover these orangey, expressive, full-bodied and charming wines. For a piece of Italy in a bottle, we'll do anything. Go ahead and taste! Despite the demanding nature of the vineyard, Giulio Armani has mastered his terroir since 2006. It's not easy, at this average altitude of 500 meters and with a very hot, dry climate, to produce fresh wines with good minerality. Never less than 10° here, so to work the vines, it's best to know your stuff. That's the case for Giulio, who is also the manager at Winery de La Stoppa, and a follower of intuition and observation to better understand his plots and soils. Denavolo is a bit like his garden. | Created in 2006, Winery is based initially on 2 hectares managed on a leasehold basis, the vines being around 30 years old. There is everything to flourish. A clay-limestone soil which offers its first dry whites in long maceration. Then comes the time to plant a few more hectares, at a higher altitude and on a more chalky soil. The vintages follow one another. By largely favouring autochthonous grape varieties such as ortugo, malvasia, trebbiano... Everything is conducted following organic principles, of course, with just a slight addition of sulphur at bottling. |
