Pueyo is an 8,5 ha vineyard in “Libournais” situated on poor soil providing good maturity to the bordelais king grapes (mainly merlot here). Christophe (5th generation) joined his uncle in 2010 on this small domaine (to bordelais standard). In 2010, the work on the vines and wine making process changed completely towards better nature understanding. The (ECOCERT) certification process is on : soil working, no phytosanitary input. Same principle in the winery : no input, natural yeasts only (of course), filtration if necessary.
Vinification and maturation process of the Bordeaux wine is done in tanks only (stainless steel and concrete ), his big brother : Saint-Emilion Grand cru is vinified in tanks and maturation is done for 50% in barrels (not new) and for 50% in tanks. The end result is pure pleasure, red wines with supple and fine tannins, fresh black fruit. Grands Bordeaux wine, juicy, supple, with great length. It is a pleasure to present this work to you.
