Our opinion on this winery

The story of Mas de mon père begins in 2005, in the Languedoc region on the slopes of the Malepère, when Frederic took over the vines that had belonged to his grandfather, Pierre, and moved into his parents’ house with the aim of seriously developing his cellar. Having spent 6 years’  discovering the other appellations in the region, from Minervois to Saint Chinian, he reached a decision and, with effect from the 2006 vintage, turned his attention to organic culture under the ECOCERT certification scheme.
The domaine stretches out over 5.5 hectares and boasts a wide variety of  vines (merlot, cabernets, malbec, carignan, grenache, cinsault for reds/ chardonnay, sauvignon and chasan for whites).
The philosophy behind Frederic’s wines is how best to relay the vintage and the land. The grapes are hand-picked and the wine making by plot. We particularly enjoy the honesty of Frederic’s wines, which are simultaneously fleshy and fresh; a style that will appeal to everyone!
