Despite the demanding nature of the vineyard, Giulio Armani has been fully mastering his terroir since 2006. At an average of 500 m height in a very hot and dry climate, it is not easy to provide fresh wines with good minerality. The temperature never drops below 10° around here, so, better be an expert to work the vine. Giulio is indeed, he is also the manager of the La Stoppa domaine, all for intuition and observation to understand better his plots and soils. --- Denavolo is a little like his garden. Created in 2006, the domaine at first started on a tenancy basis on 2 hectares with around thirty years old vines. All was there to thrive. Calcareous-clay soil offering its first long maceration dry white wines. Then came the time to plant a few extra hectares at higher altitude on a more calcareous soil. The cuvées came one after another widely favouring indigenous grape varieties such as ortugo, malvasia, trebbiano… All is conducted following organic principles of course, with a slight sulphur input at bottling. --- Prominent maceration whites dedicated to wine connoisseurs but also to amateurs. The best way to discover those orange coloured, expressive, ample and seductive wines. We could do almost anything for a small part of Italy in a bottle ! Go !
