Son of a doctor « GP & Acupuncturist », Benjamin Taillandier had no special inclination for the winemaking world . It seems he was attracted by the product itself, especially quality product and by tasting Maxime Magnon, Jo Landron...’s wines. This is how the idea grew on him. With a Viti-Oeno BTS degree in 2002, a law and management degree in 2003, Benjamin Taillandier gains experience in various vineyards. 1 year with Jean-Baptiste Senat who becomes his mentor, then 4 years at Château Cransac (Fronton) as chief oenologist ! Then on a crush and sudden impulse he buys a few hectares of old Carignan and Syrah at Villeneuve-Minervois, in the middle of scrubland.
At the age of 27, he settled down on his own, strong in his convictions and friendship with Jean-Baptiste Senat. As for all the wine growers we love, his work priority is wine growing. Healthy soils, healthy grapes. His expending vineyard now 15 ha got Bio (organic) certification in 2011. Benjamin Taillandier is a courageous, hard working and jolly guy. The wines he creates are just like him: generous, cheerful, fruity, full of life and desirable. Wines to share, a call to friendship and good moments together. The team of Petitescaves.com is delighted to present part of his work. Cheers! (caution, always with sobriety)
