Originally from Nice, Olivier Cohen started as a wine merchant for three years before working on Thierry Allemand (Cornas) and Antoine Arena (Corsica)‘s vines. A few years watching and learning from these expert and fascinating wine growers induced thoughts of taking over a vineyard. He studied to take his Professional Degree in Farming Management and started looking for a terroir. --- An opportunity came up in january 2014 when the owner of the “Mas Genista” in Argelliers decided to retire. Olivier took it over ! Very well kept, the vines gave him the chance to throw himself into it and initiate his project of making natural wines. Renamed «Les Vignes d'Olivier», the 7ha of the domaine are managed with no chemical input at the vine and no oenological correction during vinification. --- Olivier is there to give way to the entire free expression of the terroir caring for the soil microbial life by limiting its average production to 30 hectoliters per hectare. His cuvées, true sweeties of Merlot, Syrah, Grenache and Carignan to discover here ! Long live Olivier ! Long life to youth !
