By taking over his grand parents vineyard in 2002, Sébastien Bobinet was bound to fight hard for the recognition of his work methods. Following Olivier Cousin’s friendly advice he had already been imposing organic farming. --- His determination will prove him right. The 1,8 ha planted with vines on a magnificent tuffeau hillside in cabernet franc and chenin, produces natural wines, perfectly true, fine and bright. Barrel wine aging in the beautiful, historical tuffeau cellar of the domaine, gives life to the Amatéus Bobi and Echalier vintages. In 2007, Sébastien felt the need for experimentation. He first started with carbonic maceration under the influence of Bernard Pontonnier, a natural wine figure. Then came the time to expand with a 2 ha Cabernet Franc plot of land in farm tenancy and the wish to turn other grape varieties into wine such as Pineau d'Aunis, Gamay… that Sebastien buys. --- Joined today by his lady friend Emeline Calvez, a dancer now become a sommelière, the domaine took on a new dimension and asserts itself as a solid value for natural wines made in the Loire region.
