Liv Vincendeau, settled in Rochefort sur Loire in heart of the “Corniche Angevine”, is a young winemaker in the spirit of Mark Angeli, René Mosse or Jo Pithon.
Born in Germany, Liv went to study in England and Strasbourg. Arrived in Anjou in 2000 in viticulture-oenological training course, she has taken husband and root since! She created her estate in 2014 taking over seven hectares of land including 4 hectares of vineyards on a wonderful classified site, a corner of paradise on the heights of Rochefort sur Loire. Half was planted in white Chenin, the native variety. Since then, a plot of Grolleau Noir has arrived. From the first day, Liv Vincendeau chose to cultivate his vines and to elaborate his wines according to the rules of the Organic Agriculture (certified Ecocert). She is the one who speaks "I was raised this way, it's obvious! ". The terroir is of a formidable character, very stony = mineral: Shale green & purple, Spilite, Phtannite, Quartz ... The yields are low, maximum 35 hectoliters per hectare or less, depending on the age of the vine.
Liv has begun a program of vineyard plantations to rejuvenate the vineyard while retaining the most beautiful old plots. Her apprenticeship and her first experiences in viticulture, oenology and trade allow her to manage her own domain, in a caring, meticulous & demanding way the work as well in the vineyards, cellar and other "services". A few seasonal locals hired locally complete the Domäne team during the high seasons (harvesting, pruning, disbudding, packing), as well as the precious help of his family.
100% of the pretty grapes are harvested by hand.
One of Liv's specialties is the Crémant de Loire which she masters perfectly and which made it known in Germany, her country of origin.
