Our opinion on this winery

Jacques Février settled down at Oudon in the Ancenis hillsides between Nantes and Angers in 2014. Though a very young wine grower he is definitely not a beginner in wine. Sommelier for many years, he got around a lot and as time went on his inclination for natural wines (or Live Wines) largely grew. After wine growing training at Obernai, he looked for vines and found them at Oudon, conventional vines may be, but with a wine cellar, an asset when you launch your own vineyard.

“Coteaux d’Ancenis” : a recently recognized appellation (2011) whose feature is to be on mono grape wines “mono cépage” . This “AOC” stretches over 200 ha mainly on schist and gneiss soil. The “Raisin à Plume” (name of Jacques and Julie Février ’s domaine) do not claim that appellation in order to be able to do wine blending, their wine typology anyway is different from the more conventional typology of others !
