Coming from the world of advertising, marketing and communication, she decided to radically quit everything to know more about wine. She got a degree in winemaking but with no particular intention of becoming a winegrower. Noëlla did a few work placements with Domaine Moose from 2001 to 2003 and there she fell for natural wines ! She then spent some time at Marc Pesnot’s in Muscadet. In 2004, after graduating she met Japanese importer Junko Arai – also owner of Domaine Bois Lucas- and spent some time at the domaine perfecting her winemaking skills. In 2008, Noëlla took the plunge by buying some grapes.
From 2009, she hired 8.5 ha of vineyard that had been organically-grown since 1991. At last, in 2011, she purchased her first vineyard parcels ,3.8 hectares located at Bois Lucas. The work is respectful of the land, the grapes, the wines and the consumers. Noëlla decided to let go of the A.O.C and make do with the “Vin de France” category. She totally subscribes to the organic wine approach. Frank and genuine wines, full of vitality and liveliness. Thank you Noëlla !
