Our opinion on this winery

Since he was 20, Eric Bouletin has run the family domaine (15ha), but in a cooperative winery. In 2000, he decided to finally work for himself. A multitude of vineyard sites, each one more magnificent than the last and protected from the "mistral" wind, by cypress trees and fig trees. As many soil types as parcels: mostly rocky, clayey and sandy. Regarding grape varieties, the vineyard is planted with Carignan, Syrah, Mourvèdre and some white grape varieties (Roussanne and Clairette). Accurate , meticulous and passionate work has made it possible for Eric Bouletin to make a name for himself despite a very small production of less than 2000 bottles and this right from the beginning with what was considered complicated vintages 2002 and 2003.

A purist’s work without the use of herbicide, no chemical fertilizer, and short pruning. He searches low yields to get as close to the terroir as possible. Then, pushed by demand, more comfortable with his work as he gained experience he decided, in 2007, to withdraw from the cooperative winery and today he vinifies 15 ha with 3 wines: a "Vin de Pays", a "Côtes du Rhône " and his Vaqueyras aged 18 months in 500L oak barrels. All grape varieties are vinified together and only blended after 12 months: Grenache, 80 years old for some, Syrah, Mourvèdre.
