Guillaume and Charles Soulier, 26 and 28 years old, settled down in Saint-Hilaire d’Ozilhan in Gard in 2014. Sons of a winegrower, they bought 5 Ha of their father’s property and embarked on the venture on the land on which they grew. The brothers perfectly complement one another on the domaine. As a qualified landscape gardener, Guillaume spends a lot of time in the vines. Mulching, stake fixing, taking care of the vine, he also breeds grazing sheep on their land and a horse for ploughing. Charles, is the winegrower. He has a good knowledge in vine-growing and oenology. On top of that he was trained to cellar work at the Mas de Daumas Gassac in Hérault.
A cellar “laboratory” doing promising work. They are young and talentuous. They produced 10 000 bottles in 2015. White, rosé, red and around a hundred Carthagène bottles to encourage terroir expression ! 2015 was a good year for them, harmonious, elegant natural wines with a hint of something different, probably their characteristic. A characteristic back to fundamentals, no treatment, biodynamic and herbal preparation and minimum intervention on vine and soil. A duo to follow up.
