Our opinion on this winery

First he fell in love with Bernard Plageoles’ Gaillac wines then studied agronomy at the Institute of Montpeller. He also tried his hand at Mas Amiel and Gauby, two renowned domains in this part of Roussillon. In 2003 he found himself stranded there right in the middle of stony scrubland . Today-15 years later he runs a 15-hectare estate lost among rosemary, santolina and thyme.

The 30 or so parcels planted with 7 grape varieties are like aromatic notes being arranged in a complex way to give birth to 4 flagships cuvées. The vineyard is tended with the utmost respect for the soil and horse ploughing is resorted to when the tracked vehicle can’t handle the steeper slopes. His reds are getting more and more refined while his whites have gained mineral complexity. But don’t expect to drink heavy wines that are so typical of Southern France.
