Our opinion on this winery

Patrick Rols has lived in Conques , a medieval village of the Aveyron region, for several decades. Today he is reaping the rewards of all his innovative hard work in the vineyards. Indeed he turned the steep hills of Dourdou- that had been deserted at the time of Phylloxera- into well-tended gardens and replanted them in 2001.

For this peasant’s son it was like going back to his beginnings. As a child he would follow his dad across the family vineyard. But he really changed direction after working with la Chambre d’Agriculture. He picked up his first own grapes in 2005. This tall and big guy walks across his 6-hectare vineyard planted with Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah but also Chardonnay and Chenin. This passionate character venerates nature and has the love of a job well done.
